Our mind is more complex than the toughest jigsaw puzzle ever solved, so the human psychology is!
Since my childhood & early teenage I found myself tangled in a mess of highly intense, completely confusing & even disturbing emotions. I have no shame in admitting that the precious time of my almost sixteen vulnerable years is scribbled on prescriptions of various psychiatrists from almost four cities.
Until I found the key to channelize my emotions in creative expressions, I always left out blank & frustrated after such onsets. I'm still practicing the process & at the same time transferring it to my daughter from the very beginning. Luckily she is very responsive. Giving her colouring book & a set of crayon has always been better than yelling continuously! She naturally channelizes her tantrums with colours.
She is obsessed with colours, curious about nature, crazy about books & spontaneous for music with strictly NO SCREEN time. Although it creates a huge amount of mess & left us exhausted, it gives the immense satisfaction & joy.
Parenthood is not only about preparing them to deliver the 'exactly expected' podium performance or achieving a set score in any area. Harms done to the budding minds with any kind of pressure or negativity is often irreversible, even if unknowingly.
Childhood is all about experiments and experiences in the form of play. As parents we both don't have any set expectations about her choices & career. It is all about introducing her to things & observing at a distance from where we don't mix our dreams with her freedom.
