Tiny Threads

Updated: Aug 6, 2021

In most of the Indian families, we as a kid grow up in an environment which represents us the household like cooking and cleaning as most underrated tasks, stereotyping it as 'ladies ka kaam' &/or 'maid ka kaam'. There is a common practice to keep kids (specially male child) away from these chores which leads to develop insensitivity and biasedness later in their lives regardless of the gender.

Like every will be mommy, I too spend hours and hours in daydreaming about my will be baby and parenting goals. It was top on my list to teach my kiddo cooking & cleaning even if we were blessed with a baby boy as this earth is already full of "inko to kuch aata hi nhi" kind of men! (Fortunately my man does most of the household & baby care perfectly) .

Also, the real loop hole is in our own way of approach. I would never going to tell Romika that she has to learn cooking and cleaning in order to survive in 'Paraya Ghar'. I would rather love to teach these as basic skills of health and hygiene even if she chooses to be a solo traveler without any serious relationship commitments!

Tiny threads of thinking differently helps to build a whole different kind of nest for our little birdies.
